The Honorable Everett Lewis, Jr.
The Honorable Everett Lewis, Jr. served as the 31st Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Delaware. A devoted 24-year veteran of the United States Air Force and a faithful servant of the Craft, he led the Jurisdiction with dignity and grace until his tenure concluded at the 177th Annual Communication in June 2026. We honor his leadership and his lasting contributions to our fraternity.

A Life of Service
Biography
The Honorable Everett Lewis, Jr. served as the 31st Most Worshipful Grand Master of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge F. & A.M. of Delaware, his tenure concluding at the 177th Annual Communication in June 2026. Born March 17, 1953, in Savannah, Georgia, he is the son of the late Deacon Everett Lewis, Sr. and Sister Mamie R. Heyward-Lewis. He was educated in the Savannah public schools, graduating from Sophronia M. Tompkins High School (now Woodville-Tompkins), and went on to attend Savannah State College, a historically Black college and university.
Service to Country
In 1976, Grand Master Lewis answered the call to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Air Force. Over a distinguished 24-year career he was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base (Texas), Castle Air Force Base (California), Misawa Air Base (Japan), and Dover Air Force Base (Delaware), rising to Chief of Loadmaster Standardization and Evaluation and later Loadmaster Superintendent. He served in the Gulf War, Operation Desert Shield, and the Liberation of Kuwait. His service was honored with 23 ribbons, 14 medals, and the Major General Archer L. Durham Award. He retired from active duty in 2000.
Service to the Craft
His Masonic service is equally distinguished. A Past Master of Dover Air Force Base Military Lodge No. 28, he has served as Potentate of Fez Temple No. 231, Grand Lecturer of the Prince Hall Grand Chapter of Delaware, Temple Recorder of Fez Temple No. 231, Chapter Secretary of Mount Moriah Chapter No. 5, and Most Worthy Joshua of Rebekah Court No. 4. A lifetime of devotion across the Masonic family.
Faith, Family & Community
A man of deep faith and family, Grand Master Lewis married Deborah M. Allen in 1976. Together they are the proud parents of four children (Everett T. III, Travis LaMar, Jennifer Kristina, and Shaunn Allen), thirteen grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter, Keylasia Lynn. He is a member of Taylor Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church and remains active with the NAACP, the John H. Porter-First State Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc., and the Professional Loadmaster Association.
